Betcoin is one of the biggest Bitcoin-only betting sites on the web, and their esports offering is one of the best we’ve seen with a large range of games, matches and betting lines available. A sensible (if slow to load) website and a strong reputation make up for the site’s absence of a welcome bonus for esports bettors. Let’s take a closer look in our full review. Show more.
Esports betting is shown prominently on Betcoin’s site. Just click through to the Sports page, then find ‘eSports’ in the left-most menu near the top. From here, you can see a selection of all esports matches currently open for betting, or you can drill down into specific games. At present, seven titles are offered, including smaller scenes like Vainglory, Heroes of the Storm and Call of Duty.
Once you’ve clicked through to a match, you can see the full range of betting options in all their glory. You can select match and map winners, alongside proposition bets like the winner of the first pistol round in CS:GO, the first blood in League of Legends, and so on.
In-play betting is fully supported and includes an embedded live stream, so you’ll be able to continue betting after the start of the match if you’re late to arrive or just want to see how things go before committing to a bet.
Betcoin has been operating since 2013, and seems to have attracted a largely positive online reputation in that time, with few of the allegations of misconduct that often plague larger sites.
As Betcoin operate entirely with Bitcoin, withdrawals are extremely rapid indeed. Most withdrawals should occur instantly, although larger withdrawals may be flagged for additional examinations by the site’s staff.
Betcoin offer live chat via Zendesk, ensuring live chat while operators are available, and falling back to email (firstname.lastname@example.org) if they’re not. A comprehensive FAQ and forums are also available, should the official support let you down (or you just don’t want to bother them with a minor question). Telephone support is not available, something common to most Bitcoin-only esports betting sites. Show less.
Unfortunately, Betcoin’s bonuses at the moment are centred around its casino offerings, with no bonuses available to those that simply want to bet on esports titles. We’ll update this section as and when applicable bonuses become available.
