OneHash is another Bitcoin-only betting site, allowing fans of the most popular cryptocurrency to make bets on esports fixtures, traditional sports matches and even stock and commodity markets. Like many other Bitcoin betting sites, OneHash is a brand new platform and as such provides a modern, snazzy and responsive site that works well on a range of devices without requiring an app. Unlike other Bitcoin sites though, OneHash offers exclusively mutual betting. The idea behind mutual betting is that instead of betting against the house, you’re betting only against other bettors with the site acting as a broker; you’ll get a share of the winnings from the total pot. So if you reckon the underdogs have a chance in their next CS:GO match, you’ll go up against those who’ve picked the clear favourite.
Removing “corporate gambling machines and algorithms” from the equation can lead to a more thrilling result as the odds continue to shift before a match, but it also introduces some limitations – you can’t bet big on a lesser-known match if no one is willing to play devil’s advocate, and there’s no live betting available. Still, it’s an interesting way to bet, and it’s definitely worth considering.
OneHash includes all of the major esports on its site, like League of Legends and Counter-Strike, but also includes some from smaller scenes like Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm and StarCraft II. There are seven tiles represented in total.
You can access the esports section of the site by clicking on ‘e-sport’ in the menu on the left; you can drill down further to individual games or see every esports match that’s available. There’s no proposition betting available yet (e.g. you can’t bet on who’ll take the first inhibitor in LoL), but all major (and many minor) matches are present and correct.
OneHash include a robust live chat system, which promises 24/7 support. However, there’s no phone number to dial or email address to use if you can’t get a response out of the live chat.
As OneHash deals exclusively in Bitcoin, it isn’t backed by a gambling commission in any country. That reduces trust in the site somewhat, although it appears to have attracted strongly positive reviews in its first three years of operation, according to its associated Bitcointalk thread. Withdrawals are paid in Bitcoin only, as expected, and payments are sent out within the same day. Show less.
OneHash provides a generous bonus to new bettors, matching up to 1BTC deposited. The bonus is provided in 10% increments until exhausted, so the site doesn’t reward one-and-done betting. As always, read the terms and conditions to know the full details! We’ll update this page with new bonuses as they appear, so you’ll always be able to find the latest information right here.
