TipBet is one of the newer sites on the block, having been founded in 2015, but they already offer a good range of esports betting opportunities on a site that seems reminiscent of many of the established names in the industry. Let’s take a closer look at their offering for esports bettors. Show more.
TipBet have made it easy to access the esports section of site, with ‘ESPORTS’ written prominently in the top menu bar alongside sports betting, live betting and the casino.
Click through, and you’ll find four games are supported at the moment: League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Dota 2 and StarCraft II. League of Legends seems to be a particular favourite for the site, with hundreds of listed matches. As well as seeing all esports matches or all of those from a particular game, you can also drill down into specific leagues within each.
A good range of betting options are available at TipBet, including proposition or spot bets on who will take the first kill of the match, or who will win the first or second pistol round in CS:GO. You can even predict the final match score of a best-of-seven StarCraft II series. Of course, all the basics are well represented too: choosing the overall winner, the winner of a map, and over/under betting.
However, there’s still room for improvement when it comes to TipBet’s esports betting offering. There’s no embedded stream of live matches, and the statistics overlay that appears on some matches doesn’t seem to work – overall the site just doesn’t feel as polished as it could be. With a little care and attention, TipBet could certainly improve their offering and carve out a nice little niche for themselves.
The TipBet site doesn’t offer as comprehensive support options as you might prefer, listing only a FAQ section and an email support service, accessible via [email protected]. Many esports bettors have come to expect live chat options from any modern sportsbook, TipBet’s lack of support choices is a bit of a let down.
While TipBet has been operating since only 2015, the site is backed by the Malta Gaming Authority and has had generally positive player reviews during it short existence.
Withdrawals are rapid at TipBet, with e-wallet and credit/debit payouts taking just 24 hours to complete. Bank transfers remain slow however, at between three and seven days. Show less.
At the moment TipBet offer a nice welcome package for esports bettors, offering the choice of a 200% deposit bonus on up to €50 or a 100% deposit bonus on up to €100. Of course, terms and conditions apply, so click through to get all of the requirements!
