This fixture between Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas is the opening game of the BLAST Premier spring Groups 2021 in Group A.
Astralis come into this game having won four of their last five games, against Team Liquid (3 – 0) in the IEM Global Challenge 2020, Evil Geniuses (2 – 1), G2 Esports (2 – 1), and Vitality (2 – 1) at the BLAST Premier Global Final 2020. They lost only to Natus Vincere at the final game (0 – 2), clinching the second position in the tournament.
Ninjas in Pyjamas, on the other hand, won only one of their last five games, losing to BIG (2 – 3) at the Showmatch CS:GO, Virtus.pro (0 – 2), Cloud9 (1 – 2), and most recently Virtus.pro (0 – 2) at the CS_Summit 7. They only defeated Dignitas (2 – 1) last week, a day before their loss to Virtus.pro.
Astralis have won three of the last five tournaments they have participated in and secured a silver media in another. Ninjas in Pyjamas has not been anywhere close.
Ninjas in Pyjamas will be without Simon “twist” Eliasson as he will be replaced with Erik “ztr” Gustafsson. Astralis is the favorite to win and is expected to win by a 2-0 margin.

BIG comes into this bout as slight favorites over OG, having won three of their last five outings. At the ESL Meisterschaft Autumn 2020, they defeated Rhein Neckar (2 – 0) and lost to Sprout (1 – 2). While they had defeated HellRaisers by a 2 – 0 scoreline, Evil Geniuses (2 – 1) and lost to Team Spirit (1 – 2) last week at the DreamHack Open January 2021 Europe.
OG has had an average run this year thus far, winning and losing an equal amount of games at the CS_Summit 7 tournament. They secured a win in their first game against Dignitas (2 – 1), lost the second to fnatic (1 – 2), and won the next over Dignitas (2 – 1). They were defeated by Heroic in their recent outing by a 0 – 2 scoreline.
Having attended one tournament each in 2021, BIG placed second at the ESL Meisterschaft Autumn, while OG running fifth-eight at the CS_Summit 7 though they had gone against good teams, unlike BIG.
In their last head to head battle, BIG triumphed in a 2 – 0 victory with 16 – 12 on Dust II and 16 – 4 on Inferno. Their previous outing had OG sweeping the German squad with 19 – 17 on Dust II and 16 – 0 on Inferno.
This game would be a close one, and as such, we expect over 2.5 maps.
Pick: Over 2.5 Maps (+110) at BetOnline
