Jakey says: Worlds 2018

Fnatic and IG will be a very interesting BO5 final to round off Worlds 2018.

On one hand you have Invictus Gaming, a blood thirsty early-game orientated team that will be pressuring early in a hope to extend each their lead to a victory, and then you have Fnatic, a team that has shown that they can also have a strong early game (first game against C9), but generally are more of a mid- to late- game team.

I think that Fnatic will be aware of what IG will be trying to do with stronger solo laners such as Rookie (currently the best mid-laner in the world) and compensate for this, as Fnatic as a cohesive team are stronger. If they survive the onslaught in the early game they’ll be able to withstand the onslaught.

My planned bets for the series is for IG will come out in full force; taking game 1, first blood and first turret. However, over the course of the best of 5, Fnatic will list the trophy with a 3-2 win.

A lot can depend on the pick-and-ban phase, so I’ll be making a number of in-play bets, so be sure to follow my Twitter as the games progress, as well as the hashtag #JakeySays.
