An Update on ALGS Split 1 Playoffs

Apex Legends continues to be an esports game that has seen tremendous growth, and that is especially true this time of the year. The ALGS Split 1 Playoffs are currently taking place, and all of the top teams in the sport are battling it out.

The Galen Centre in Los Angeles is currently hosting this massive event, and there are teams from around the world competing for the title. Since this event only lasts four days, there is a loaded schedule of matchups throughout those four days.

Things are really going to start to heat up when the matchups in the final bracket are revealed, but group stage has already produced some drama. There will be some great updates coming from throughout the event, and that has been the case as the action is just getting going.

With $1 million on the line, every Apex team will be pulling out all of the stops in order to get a win. That has already been evident based on the early action at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, and that’s a trend that is only going to continue moving forward.

A Look at Results

It is still extremely early in this event, but now is a great time to check out how things have been going at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. Group stage might not seem to matter to many, but this is when teams are able to set themselves up for the crucial part on the bracket.

O7 is the early leader in this event, and that is extremely surprising when looking at the betting odds to come away with the title. This team has already racked up 57 total points, and there is another surprising team right behind them.

WMNDY has picked up 54 total points through the first day of ALGS action, and they will be trying to continue that momentum moving forward. Those two teams might be a surprise up to this point, but there are some big favorites right behind them.

Alliance (53) and Fnatic (47) were two teams to watch heading into this event, and they are both still in the mix after just one day. Legends Gaming also has 45 points after just one day, and they were another team expected to battle it out in this event.

Things can change quickly at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, and that is why it’s important to keep a close eye on the results each day. Eventually the top teams will find a way to pull away, but that didn’t happen in the first day of competition.

 Sharky Making a Return

There are a ton of storylines that have already taken shape at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs, and the return of Sharky is one of those. His last appearances at the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs came with TSM, but now he is hoping to deny that team another title.

After the 2023 Split 1 Playoffs, Sharky took some time off due to mental health concerns, and his roster spot was not protected. He is now back, and hoping that his play will allow his new team to come away with the title.

Virtus.pro decided to take a chance on signing Sharky, and they are hoping that the move ultimately leads to a title. There is work to be done, but both sides believe that there could still be some magic left.

There are other teams in this event that have a completely new roster, and that is sort of the way that things have been going in this sport. Every player and team is always looking for a new edge, and moving teams is sometimes the best option.
