Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am Duo Preview

The Fortnite celebrity Pro-Am is a 100 player battle-royale match consisting of Fortnite celebrities and worldwide celebrities alike. The Fortnite Summer Block Party 2019 will be held from June 15-16, hosted by video game developer Epic Games. The event will be at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

Similar to a regular Fortnite game, each player will be dropped into the same 100 player match. In which, all celebrities will battle head to head, with the remaining duo as the victors. Although the prize pool has not been announced, last year’s tournament had a huge prize pool of $3,000,000 USD, with the money being sent to a charity of the winners choice. As the name suggests, the duos contain a professional Fortnite player and a celebrity amateur player.

Epic Games has currently announced twelve duo partners. These are:

  • Cloakzy and Dillon Francis
  • DrLupo and Jordan Fisher
  • Pokimane and Martin Doherty
  • Valkyrae and Justin Jones

  • CouRageJD and Brendon Urie

There will be 50 duo partners to complete this list. So, Epic Games will be announcing the remaining 38 duo partners in the coming days and weeks.

Out of the current duos announced, Turner “Tfue” Tunney and Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore are considered to be the favorites, with DrLupo, CouRageJD and, Timthetatman are also notable contenders.

Last year’s winner, Richard Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, who was partnered with Marshmello, will be confirmed to attend, although they have not yet been confirmed to be competing. The announcement also stated that the Fortnite community could meet their favorite celebrities and content creators, including Ninja, Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, Dillon Francis, Cray and, Jordan Fisher.

According to the official announcement, the Pro-Am tournament will take place a day after the first-ever Creative Tournament. Which is an eight-team of four event in which there will be a new player-made game, specifically designed for the event.

Following this event will be the Fortnite World Cup, from July 26-28. This event is considered to be one of the biggest hosted by Epic Games thus far and will feature a huge prize pool of $30,000,000 USD.
