Snip3down Joins FaZe Clan Halo: Infinite Roster

FaZe Clan announced Eric "Snip3down" Wrona as the newest addition to its Halo: Infinite roster on Monday, December 13.

FaZe Clan announced Eric “Snip3down” Wrona as the newest addition to its Halo: Infinite roster on Monday, December 13. The 30-year-old Halo veteran joins FaZe for the 2022 season, marking his return to pro play for the first time since 2019.

From Apex to Halo

As revealed by FaZe Clan, the North American esports organization acquired the entire Inconceivable Halo roster to be a part of their organization for the upcoming Halo esports season. The acquisition sees the arrival of Inconceivable’s entire four-man roster, including Michael “Falcated” Garcia, Jesse “bubu dubu” Moeller, Adam “Bound” Gray, and Snip3down.

Although all highly talented players, it’s the arrival of Snip3down that has the Halo community on their feet. Widely considered one of the best Halo players of all time, Snip3down is now back in the Halo competitive scene after spending the last year as a streamer and Apex Legends player.

The news follows TSM’s announcement that they’re parting ways with Snip3down, who was a part of TSM’s Apex Legends roster. In the announcement video, Snip3down acknowledged that his decision to leave TSM is risky, but it’s a decision he feels he had to make.

“This was probably the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make in my life, knowing what I was leaving behind,” said Snip3down.

“You never know what’s going to happen, but you’ve got to sometime take risks in your life, and I’m doing that, and I’m excited to see where it leads me.”

Although known as one of the top Halo players, Snip3down has achieved plenty of success competing in Apex Legends. He has joined TSM’s Apex team in October 2020 and has since helped the organization cement itself as one of the top brands in the Apex esports scene.

Most notably, the TSM Apex team finished third at ALGS Championship 2021 – North America in June and have recently qualified for the ALGS Split 1 Playoff.

However, with the return of the Halo competitive scene, Snip3down decided to return to the game he had dedicated most of his esports career to. He made his Halo debut in 2008 and has been involved in the competitive scene until he decided to take a step back in 2020.

FaZe Acquire Inconceivable

By acquiring the Inconceivable Halo roster, FaZe Clan set themselves up for success heading into the Halo esports competitive scene. As a team formed in May 2020, Inconceivable quickly emerged as one of the top Halo teams in the world.

They successfully qualified for HCS Kickoff Major Raleigh 2021 by placing third in the qualifiers. There they outperformed the likes of G2 Esports, eUnited, Cloud9, and XSET.

The team also came one map short of qualifying for the finals. Unfortunately, they had to admit defeat to Sentinels (2-3), who would go on to win the qualifying tournament.

Regardless, Inconceivable have proven they’re a serious threat to win the inaugural Major tournament and are rightly billed as one of the top favorites to do so.

FaZe Set To Make Halo Debut

Although one of the most recognizable esports organizations, FaZe have yet to appear in the Halo esports scene. However, that’s about to change on Friday, December 17, when FaZe will make its Halo debut in the HCS Kickoff Major Raleigh 2021.

The tournament will run from December 17-19 at Raleigh Convention Center, Raleigh, United States. It will feature 16 teams hailing from NA, EU, LA, and AP and a $250,000 prize pool.

The tournament will divide the 16 teams into four groups of four, with the top two teams from each group advancing into the Winners Round 2. The bottom two teams from each group will advance into the Winners Round 1.

The 16 group stage teams will then compete with 16 teams from the Open bracket in a double-elimination bracket. All games will be played as best-of-five (Bo5), including the grand finals.

The champions will take home the title and $100,000 in winner’s share, while the runners-up will collect a $60,000 consolation prize.
