00Nation Announce Roster Changes

Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, 00Nation, announced roster changes on Friday, October 15.

Brazilian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team, 00Nation, announced roster changes on Friday, October 15. As revealed, the team benched Henrique “HEN1” Teles and Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles and signed Fernando “fer” Alvarenga.

HEN1 and LUCAS1 Out Of 00Nation

00Nation announced the benching of HEN1 and LUCAS1. The news comes in the wake of the last-place finish in Intel Extreme Masters Season XVI – Fall: Europe.

The Brazilian CS:GO esports team failed to win a single map in their group at the tournament. As a result, they missed out on qualifying for PGL Major Stockholm.

Despite 00Nation’s lack of success, the brothers have been playing well. HEN1 and LUCAS1 have been averaging the team’s highest and third-highest ratings, 1.08 and 0.97, respectively.

Their joint venture at 00Nation (previously O PLANO) marked the first time since 2019 that HEN1 and LUCAS1 got a chance to play together when they were a part of Luminosity Gaming. After leaving Luminosity, the brother went their separate ways, with LUCAS1 joining MiBR, while HEN1 signed for FURIA Esports.

Unfortunately, HEN1 and LUCAS1 enjoyed limited success together this time out. Their best placement came in May when they led O PLANO to a fourth-place finish at cs_summit 8.

Since O PLANO rebranded to 00Nation, the Brazilian lineup’s best tournament run came in September, when they reached the semi-finals of BLAST Nordic Masters: Fall 2021.

Despite HEN1 and LUCAS1’s solid showings, the team felt changes were needed. As a result, HEN1 and LUCAS1 found themselves on 00Nation’s bench.

00Nation add fer

To replace HEN1 and LUCAS1, 00Nation signed fer to the team. The Brazilian CS:GO esports veteran joins 00Nation after spending the last year without a team.

Fer was last a part of MiBR, until September 2020, when he left the active lineup. He had spent the next three months as an inactive member of MiBR before fer left the organization and remained out of the scene for four months.

In April 2021, fer joined Imperial Esports as a stand-in and remained with the organization until July. During his stay at the Brazilian CS:GO team, fer has attended only two tournaments, with limited success.

In May, Imperial attended cs_summit 8: Open Qualifier #2, placing top-four. A month later, fer and co. attended Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Summer, where they have failed to win a single match, losing to Heroic (8-16) and Team Spirit (0-2).

An underwhelming showing saw Imperial Esports finish the tournament in 13-16th place, alongside Fnatic, Extra Salt, and Sprout.

Fer left Imperial shortly after that and has spent the following three months without a team. Now, the Brazilian veteran got picked up by 00Nation, where he will reunite with Vito “kNgV-” Giuseppe, Leonardo “leo_drk” Oliveira, Vinicius “v$m” Moreira, and

Alencar “trk” Rossato, with who he played with at MiBR.

00Nations’ New Roster

With the benching of HEN1 and LUCAS1 and the addition of fer, 00Nation now field a new roster, which the organization hopes will net them better results. The team is currently back in their headquarters in Oslo, where they’re preparing for their upcoming challenges.

00Nation’s new-look roster will make its debut in the second IEM Winter Europe open qualifiers, which start on Friday, October 15, and run to Saturday, October 16.

At the tournament, 00Nation will compete for one of two tickets leading into the closed qualifiers. There, the top two teams from open qualifiers will take on Complexity, ENCE, MOUZ, Team Spirit, Fnatic, and FunPlus Phoenix.

The top three teams from the closed qualifiers will earn a spot in the IEM Winter main event, slated for December 2-12. The tournament will feature 16 teams and a $250,00 prize pool.

With the arrival of fer, 00Nation field four active members on their roster. It’s currently unclear who will fill in the final vacant spot and whether 00Nation will reinstall one of the twin brothers or sign a new member to their lineup.
