Betting on the Mid-Season Invitational 2024

There always seems to be some great League of Legends action taking place, but we have our first big event of the year taking place this week. The 2024 Mid-Season Invitational will have some great teams ready to compete, and the betting odds will highlight that fact as well. 

This event is going to take place in Chengdu, China and there is going to be a new champion crowned this year. Some of the fan favorites are going to be competing as well, and there is a big crowd expected. 

Here is a look at some of the top LoL teams set to compete, and also a quick look at the format for this event. 

A Clear Top Four

When looking at the betting odds to win the Mid-Season Invitational 2024, there are four teams that appear to be in the mix. There could also be some surprises that emerge throughout this big event, but it’s hard to argue with the four teams that are favored to come up with a big win. 

Bilibili Gaming is the betting favorite to win this event at +200, and this is an event in which they have had some recent success. Bilibili Gaming was in the finals last year, but they came up just a bit short in the final series. 

Gen.G is another team that always seems to have some success in international events, and they have odds set at +250. There is a bit of a drop off after those two teams, but you can’t ignore the third and fourth place teams.

T1 is the next team to be considered to win this event as their odds are currently sitting at +300. Top ESports will have some work to do if they are going to win the MSI 2024, but their odds at +400 will give them a chance. 

You always want to consider some of the other betting options as well, and that is where you can get some additional value. Here is a look at some other teams to keep an eye on this weekend:

Region Winner Odds

This tournament is going to feature teams from many different regions around the world, and that creates some interesting battles. While every team is considered about winning the event for themselves, there is also some region pride at play as well. 

You can actually bet on which region is going to come away with the title, and there are some interesting options to check out. Here are those odds heading into the beginning of the MSI. 

  • LPL -125
  • LCK -111
  • LEC +1100
  • LCS +2000
  • Any Other Region +5000

Those odds suggest that a team from either the LPL or LCK will come away with a title at the MSI, but there is still some serious work to be done. There are also some great teams from the LEC or LCS, and you can get more value in betting on them to come away with a title. 

The MSI Format

There will be two stages that take place at the MSI 2024, and everything is going to start out with group stage. There will be two groups of eight, and the top two teams in each group will automatically advance to the final bracket. 

There is also a chance for four other teams to battle it out and get into the final tournament and this will be done through a double elimination bracket. Once the final eight teams are ready, there will be a double elimination tournament to determine the winner. 

As is the case with most of the top international events, all of the games will be played as a best-of-five format.
