2024 is set to be a big year for League of Legends players, and there was a big announcement made this week to make things even more exciting. The TFT Remix Rumble Championship is back, and it won’t be long before the action is taking place around the world.
Las Vegas was the host of the Remix Rumble last year, and the event turned out to be a massive success. League of Legends is going to be running it back again this year, allowing players from all over the world to compete for the massive prize.
There are already regional events taking place, and those top qualifiers are working to earn points in order to qualify for the main event. The 2024 TFT Remix Rumble Championship will take place on March 1-3, and there are a number of impressive prizes that are up for grabs.
Everyone Claims a Prize
The top 32 players that earned points in regional competitions will be eligible to compete for this championship, and all of the entrants will walk away with something. $2,500 is going to be awarded to the players that finish in 31st and 32nd place, and the prizes only get bigger from there.
Finishing inside the top-10 will earn players at least $10,000, but everyone is going to be competing for the biggest prize. The winner of this event will walk away with $150,000, the Golden Spatula Trophy, and massive bragging rights.
Players are going to have to play a number of different formats in order to take home the top prize, and things will be shuffled around each day. On Day 3, the first player to get to 20 points will be crowned champion of this event.
There will be just eight players that survive until the final day, but you can bet that all of the players will be hanging around to check out the action. Even though this game is played around the world, the majority of the players will end up playing with similar styles.
With so much at stake at the TFT Remix Rumble Championships, players will be doing all that they can to get things done.
Changes to Set Format
The League of Legends is always trying to improve the format of the season, and taking information from players has created some changes to be made. It’s now more important to win a Set Championship, as that will allow that player to advance to the next set automatically.
This is a change from the previous format as each specific region is no longer guaranteed an additional spot in the Set Championship. That should put more pressure on the individual players to get something done, and will add to the drama and excitement.
