Brazil’s Best Leading the VCT: Americas League

After two weeks, Brazil’s FURIA Esports and LOUD sit at the top of the standings. Who will win when they face off later this week?

Two weeks of great Valorant action is in the books for the Valorant Champions Tour: Americas League, and already Brazil’s best two Valorant teams are sitting at the top of the standings. However, only one will remain undefeated and at the top as LOUD and FURIA Esports battle it all out.  You won’t want to miss any of the action, especially with over half of the teams sitting at 1-1, you can expect all of them to bring their a-game as they all try to separate from the pack this weekend.

Current Valorant Champions Tour: Americas Standings

  1. FURIA Esports (2-0)
  2. LOUD (2-0)
  3. 100 Thieves (1-1)
  4. Leviatan Esports (1-1)
  5. Cloud9 (1-1)
  6. NRG (1-1)
  7. MIBR (1-1)
  8. Sentinels (1-1)
  9. KRU Esports (0-2)
  10. Evil Geniuses (0-2)

The Top Two

FURIA Esports has gotten off to a dominant start to their season, having only dropped a single map in their first two weeks. In Week 1, FURIA Esports took down KRU Esports in a clean 2-0 match. Last week they took Leviatan Esports down in a close 2-1 match. They look to claim sole possession of the top spot in the standings this week as they take on fellow Brazillian team LOUD.

LOUD has had a great start to the year, taking down two strong opponents already this year. Week 1 saw them take down MIBR in an incredibly close 2-1 match before taking down Cloud9 in another 2-1. LOUD would love to keep their already solid 2023 going by being the last undefeated team in the Americas League.

The Bottom Two

KRU Esports has had a tough first two weeks taking on some of the better teams in the Americas League. Week 1 saw them lose an 0-2 match in which they saw themselves lose the second map 5-13. Last week KRU Esports fell to MIBR 2-1 in a very close match that saw the last map go to Overtime. They are more than capable of finding their first win of the season next week against Evil Geniuses.

Evil Geniuses have not been having a great 2023. They started the VCT: Americas League with an 0-2 loss to Cloud9 in what was overall a pretty close match. However, last week it looked like the wheels fell off the wagon as Evil Geniuses suffered another 0-2 loss. They gave up the first map in a 9-13 defeat before getting embarrassed on Icebox, losing Game 2 with a score of 5-13.

Valorant Champions Tour: Americas Week 3 Schedule and Odds

The first match of the week is Evil Geniuses vs KRU Esports on Sunday. With both teams searching for their first win, either team could use a win this week as a way to gain some momentum and move up in the standings.

My other match of the week is LOUD vs FURIA Esports on Monday. Closing out the week is the Battle of Brazil as both FURIA Esports and LOUD look to take control of the top sport in the VCT: Americas League. You won’t want to miss it when these two teams load into the server.
