The news surrounding Call of Duty never ceases to stop, but this time the news is coming from the Challengers side of things. The Call of Duty Challengers League is a chance for players to try to become professional players, and it is making big changes in 2024.

This Call of Duty Challengers Leagues doesn’t always feature the best players in the world, but there is still some great action that takes place. From now on, the Challengers Series and the Elite qualifiers are going to take place on FACEIT.

Fans and players of Call of Duty might be surprised with some of the recent announcements as it seems as if the league is making a major shift. Earlier it was announced that YouTube would be the exclusive home of Call of Duty esports action, moving away from Twitch altogether.

For those that are hoping to one day become a professional on the Call of Duty League, the Challengers Series is a great way to get in some practice. These are still highly contested matches and points are awarded throughout the season.

This Challengers League was first run back in 2019, and it has grown in a number of ways since that time. All of the action has been taking place on the website GameBattles, but that company decided to shut down earlier this year.

FACEIT was quick to jump at the opportunity to host the Challengers League for Call of Duty as it can see the potential. This switch happened immediately, and the plan is to keep it with FACEIT full-time moving forward.

A Look at the Season

The 2024 Call of Duty Challengers League has already begun as the qualifiers are taking place for those that are interested. That will all lead into the Challengers Cup on January 20th, and this is just the first of 11 of these events.

Since Call of Duty is trying to attract players from all parts of the world, both of these events will be open to players from Europe, Latin America, North America, and the Asia Pacific Region. A majority of the cups are going to have teams from all over the world competing, but ultimately things will become more regional.

The CoD Challengers League will eventually wrap up with the Finals and it will feature the top 16 teams, with four teams coming from each region. It’s important to rack up as many points along the way to ensure a spot in this event.

About FACEIT

FACEIT is still not as well known as some of the other places where esports are played, but that could soon be changing with the addition of Call of Duty. This company was actually founded in 2011 as a competitive gaming company, but it has really started to take off in recent years.

That was the year that it became a part of a Saudi-backed group and it is mixed in with several of the other big names in this industry. It just recently announced that it was going to be hosting more Rocket League action as well.
