Cloud9 and FlyQuest to Play for Top Seed in LCS

Cloud9 and FlyQuest are meeting in the last week of the regular season, tied for first place. Who will take home the top seed in the playoffs? This weekend will tell us!

The LCS delivered yet another crazy week as we saw the top-ranked FlyQuest fall to Team Liquid Honda in what may be the biggest upset of the season. Cloud9 was able to capitalize on FlyQuest’s misstep and caught up with them in the standings. As the last week of the regular season approaches, fans gear up for what is going to be a great game of League of Legends between these two squads on Wednesday.

Current LCS Standings

Cloud9 is coming off a great 2-0 week that saw them get wins over Evil Geniuses and Team Liquid Honda. They’ve been one of the top teams in the league, but this is their first time back in first place in six weeks. They’re getting hot at the right time and could easily take sole possession of first place by the end of the season.

FlyQuest started hot and was the last remaining undefeated team. However, the back half of regular season play hasn’t been good to them, and they are in serious danger of not going into playoffs as the top seed after leading in the standings the whole season.

Evil Geniuses is comfortably sitting in third place after going 1-1 last week. They got a win over Counter Logic Gaming. Unfortunately, they lost to Cloud9, which all but ended their hopes of getting the first-place spot for playoffs. Still, they still have a shot at second place if they can secure wins over Immortals Progressive, Team Liquid Honda, and 100 Thieves.

Golden Guardians went 1-1 last week, finding a win over Team SoloMid after they lost to 100 Thieves. They are in danger of losing their spot to one of the teams in the blob that’s tied for fifth. Luckily they should be able to handle Dignitas and Counter Logic Gaming with a real shot against FlyQuest.

  1. Cloud9 (12-3)

FlyQuest (12-3)

3. Evil Geniuses (10-5)

4. Golden Guardians (9-6)

5. Team SoloMid (7-8)

Counter Logic Gaming (7-8)

100 Thieves (7-8)

9. Immortals Progressive (3-12)

10. Dignitas
