Faker Continues to Impress

League of Legends continues to be one of the most popular esports games that are out there, and the action has already been terrific to begin the year. The League Championship Series has already produced some memorable moments up to this point, and that is going to continue moving forward.

League of Legends continues to be one of the most popular esports games that are out there, and the action has already been terrific to begin the year. The League Championship Series has already produced some memorable moments up to this point, and that is going to continue moving forward.

While there have already been a number of big wins for players in the LCS, there is one player that just continues to rise above the competition. That player would be “Faker,” and he might go down as the best player of all time in this game.

Faker competed in the LCK Spring Spirit event last weekend, and he just continued to add to his impressive resume. Everything seemed to align perfectly for Faker as he got his 600th win, and his 3,000th kill during the LCK, becoming just the first player in league history to do either of those things.

Some of these numbers are a bit skewed though as Faker was just the first to get to 3,000 kills in the LCK. A pair of players have already got to that number in the Chinese league, but the competition is not always up to par in that part of the world.

Faker continues to be the leader of the T1 team in the LCS, and his 3,000th kill helped his team get past OK Brion by a score of two games to none. Many players continue to try to find a way to solve Faker and pull off a win against them, but those efforts usually come up short.

One of the reasons that Faker has the most wins in league history is for the simple fact that he has been playing since 2013. No one else in league history has even been able to get to 450 career wins, but some could close the gap as time moves on.

Quick Look at the Standings

The LCK is currently taking a brief break to celebrate the Lunar New Year, but the action is going to resume again on February 15th. That will give Faker and his T1 team some time to regroup, but they were riding a pretty big wave of momentum in league play heading into this past weekend.

T1 is sitting at 5-1 so far this season, with their only loss coming to Gen.G in a tight battle. Gen.G is currently sitting on top of the standings as they have yet to lose to open up at 6-0.

There are going to be some more big events coming to League of Legends throughout the year, and those events have good betting options as well. Be sure to find all of the LCS betting odds that are available and get your wagers in to attempt to win some money.

Changes Coming to Smolder

Smolder is the most recent champion to be introduced to League of Legends, and that champion got off to a slow start. It’s pretty common for new champions to struggle to win battles right out of the gate, but this trend has become concerning for developers.

The win rate was sitting right around 40% after the opening weekend, and things haven’t really improved over the last few days. Top players in this sport are going to start to stay away from Smolder unless something changes, and that is where the developers might have to step in.

Some players have figured out how to have success with Smolder, but a majority of players don’t view him as a worthy champion. It’s unclear what changes are going to be made, but Smolder will likely have new traits or skills when the next release comes out.
