Final 8 Teams at League of Legends Worlds 2023

The World Championships are down to 8 teams we break down who is left and the odds they have to win the whole thing.

The 2023 League of Legends World Championships are gearing up for what will be the final phase of the tournament. 22 teams made their way from around the world to South Korea, and now only 8 teams remain as they enter the single elimination bracket to determine the 2023 World Champions. They are all three match wins away from Summoner’s Cup. You won’t want to miss any of the action when the top teams in the world go at one last time this season. You can catch all the action live on YouTube and Twitch.

Beijing JDG Intel Esports Club

Future Odds: +120

JDG remains the betting favorite to win the World Championships, with their line currently set at +120. They went 3-0 in the Swiss Stage, taking down Team BDS, Bilibili Gaming, and LNG Esports. It will be interesting to see this team take on another top team in the world that isn’t an LPL rematch. We will get a good look at this squad as the hometown crowd is against them when they take the rift against kt Rolster.

Gen.G Esports

Future Odds: +200

Gen.G Esports is a close second when it comes to betting favorites for the tournament. They also went 3-0 in the Swiss Stage, though it should be mentioned that they had a much easier path taking on GAM Esports, T1, and G2 Esports. It’ll be interesting to see how they look against some of the top talent from the LPL.

Bilibili Gaming Pingan Bank

Future Odds: +1000

Bilibili Gaming has consistently looked like one of the best teams in the World. Their only problem is JDG, who has their number this year, taking every match the two teams have played against each other this season. They’ve looked good against nearly everyone else, so if they can somehow find a way not to face JDG in the bracket, they may be able to win the whole thing.

Suzhou LNG Esports

Future Odds: +1200

LNG Esports has had a solid tournament so far. Then ended the Swiss Stage 3-1, taking down opponents from all over the world in Cloud9, Fnatic, and kt Rolster. Their only loss was a 1-2 loss to JDG, which is a strong opponent. They’ve proven to be able to make a series with JDG competitive. The question is, will they be able to beat them the second time if they find themselves face-to-face in the bracket?

WeiboGaming FAW AUDI

Future Odds: +1200

WeiboGaming FAW AUDI had an interesting Swiss Stage, ending 3-2 with wins over NRG, MAD Lions, and Fnatic and losses to G2 Esports and kt Rolster. They have a good track record against the Western teams, but they’ll definitely be tested against other Eastern teams if they can win once again against NRG.

T1

Future Odds: +1400

No League of Legends team is more recognizable than T1, with the greatest player of all time, Faker, at the helm. Though this is by no stretch of the imagination anything close to the strongest iteration of the roster, they’re still proving to be one of the better squads in the world, and their legacy alone is enough to intimidate opponents.

kt Rolster

Future Odds: +1800

kt Rolster is one of the top teams from the LCK, but they struggled heavily against the top talent from the LPL in the Swiss Stage, losing to both Bilibili Gaming and LNG Esports. They start the bracket against the LPL’s best team in JDG, so they’ll have to play at the top of their game if they want to keep their tournament alive.

NRG

Future Odds: +5000

No one could’ve predicted NRG to win the LCS Season, let alone find themselves in the Knockout Stage at Worlds, and yet here they are. They had the easiest path to the Knockout Stage, with their three wins coming against all Western opponents. They’re now playing with house money with nothing to lose. They may provide some exciting games but no fan or oddsmaker has any faith this team can take the whole thing.
