Chinese League of Legends fans are preparing for more LPL playoff action as the winner’s bracket semifinals are about to take place. After a grueling four rounds of playoffs, two teams remain in the winner’s bracket, while two teams are about to start the loser’s bracket. Who will be the last team remaining and will be named LPL 2023 Spring Split Champions? You won’t want to miss any of the action and can catch all the coverage on Twitch and YouTube.
When: Saturday, April 8th – 5 AM ET
Betting Odds: Bilibili Gaming (-227) vs. Oh My God (+174)
The loser’s bracket will start on Saturday as Bilibili Gaming takes on Oh My God. Both of these teams had uphill roads to get to the final four teams but have shown determination and poise in the face of pressure. Even though they are in the loser’s bracket, they’re both very capable teams who both have the potential to make it to finals.
Bilibili Gaming ended the Regular season in 5th place with a 10-6 record. They started their playoff run in the 2nd round, taking down Royal Never Give Up in an impressive 3-1 win. They then had a clean 3-0 sweep against the 4th seed Weibo Gaming. Last week they were able to take the top seed JDG Intel Esports Club to all five games pushing both teams to their limits; expect them to carry that momentum into their upcoming match.
Oh My God ended the season 10-6 and entered the playoffs as the 6th seed. They also started their run in the 2nd round with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Top Esports. They then stunned the 3rd seed LNG Esports 3-1. This win was especially shocking as LNG Esports looked like one of the best teams during the Regular season. This should be a fun match, as neither team is ready for their miracle runs to end yet.
When: Sunday, April 9th – 5 AM ET
Betting Odds: JDG Intel Esports Club (-125) vs. Edward Gaming Hycan (-101)
The winner’s bracket semifinal has a ton of anticipation coming as it features the top two teams coming into playoffs. JDG Intel Esports Club had a great run in the regular season, ending 1st in the standings. Though they found themselves going to 5 games with Bilibili Gaming, the poise they’ve shown all year came through as JDG Intel Esports Club found the win. I expect them to come out aggressive as they will want to show that they’re still at the top of their game.
Edward Gaming Hycan started the season slowly, finding themselves in 5th place by Week 3. They quickly turned things around, stringing together wins till they found themselves in 1st place in Week 7. Last week they took down Oh My God 3-1 in an overall clean series. They’ll be hoping that JDG Intel Esports Club is off their game after going 3-2.
Regardless of who you’re rooting for, these final matches in the LPL Playoffs are going to be fun and exciting. Every League of Legends fan should place some bets, get some snacks, and enjoy the show as one of League’s Premiere regions battles for the title of champion.
