FlyQuest Leading LCS Heading into Super Week

The LCS is heading into its first super week of the year. Will FlyQuest lose their first game in all the chaos?

The perfect season remains alive and well for FlyQuest heading into Week 4. The team has looked unstoppable behind their new star Prince who already has two player of the week awards this season. With each team having to play three games of League of Legends this week, one question remains, can anyone stop FlyQuest?

Current LCS Standings

Just two short weeks ago, Cloud9, TSM, CLG, and FlyQuest sat at the top of the LCS standings. How quickly things can shift as CLG now sits at the bottom of the standings with some of the perennial worst teams in the league. All the while, TSM has been sentenced to mediocrity, able to beat the worst teams in the league but still not good enough to compete with the top teams.

Cloud9 has been able to sustain their success for the most part, despite falling to a solid Evil Geniuses squad last week. Evil Geniuses has looked very polished this split and will be real contenders come playoffs, along with 100 Thieves, who is also looking dangerous in their climb to 4-2, where all three teams currently sit tied for 2nd.

FlyQuest, of course, sits at the top of the LCS with the perfect 6-0 record. The hardest thing for them will be staying focused this week, as all their opponents are in the bottom half of the league this week. Any team can pull off an upset, and crazier things have happened in competitive League of Legends, but on paper, it looks like it should be a fairly easy week for FlyQuest

LCS Schedule and Betting Odds

The super week is getting started off with a bang. The very first match is sure to bring the fireworks as Evil Geniuses, and 100 Thieves meet on the rift. Both teams are tied for second place currently, and a win here could be crucial toward seeding later in the split.

Another fun match to watch on Wednesday is going to be TSM and Golden Guardians. Separated by one game in the standings, these two teams are basically evenly matched. This game should give us a good indicator of where these two teams truly stack up against the competition.

Thursday’s match of the day for me is Team Liquid Honda vs Evil Geniuses. Team Liquid Honda hasn’t had the fast start to their year that they were hoping to have, but if they can secure this upset, they will carry a ton of momentum into the back half of the split.
