Free Fire awarded the Best Battle Royale Title at Pocket Gamer Awards 2021

Popular media outlet Pocket Gamers has issued a statement revealing the winners of its yearly mobile gaming awards for 2021, with Free Fire winning the Best Battle Royale Title award.

2021 has continued to bring stable growth for mobile gaming titles. Titles like Free Fire, Genshin Impact, and PUBG Mobile have played a crucial role in mobile gaming and Esports’ growth. Free Fire came as the second most downloaded mobile game in 2020.

These titles have broken many records recently, and their developers have been commended with many awards, with the Pocket Gamer Awards being one of many.

Free Fire wins Best Battle Royale Title

Free Fire’s win is a sign of its rapid rise since last year where it was awarded the best Esports Mobile Game of the Year award at the Esports Awards.

Garena, the publisher of Free Fire, also won the Best Mobile Publisher award. Riot Games was awarded the title for the Best Mobile developer in that category.

Free Fire disclosed through their social media, “We are happy to share that Free Fire has been awarded as the “Best Battle Royale Game” at the Pocket Gamer Awards 2021.

Among the other nominees was Genshin Impact by miHiyo, which was awarded the Mobile Game of the Year. Genshin Impact has made major accomplishments in the mobile gaming scene, taking the limelight in terms of money generations and downloads.

Another famous mobile title COD Mobile by Activision won in the class of “Best Game We’re Still Playing.” Apple’s iPhone 12 Pro Max won the Best Gaming Phone.
