League of Legends - Worlds 2018

League of Legends 2018 World Championship Groups have been drawn

The most prestigious League of Legends tournament of the year, the 2018 World Championship, is quickly approaching – now the groups have been drawn, and it’s looking rather bleak for North America.

With a number of teams in attendance, such as the likes of kt Rolster and Royal Never Give Up – it’s going to be a tough competition for all. The play-in stage groups include a number of big names, from European side G2 Esports to China’s EDward Gaming, so that too won’t be an easy ride for anybody involved.

The play-in stage is tiered, with twelve teams being whittled down to eight until the knockout phase kicks in. From there, they will join the main groups where the top two teams from each will advance to another knockout stage. It sounds complicated, but it’s basically survival of the fittest.

Let’s take a look at the groups!
