Team Liquid bolsters Fortnite roster ahead of World Cup

On the lead up to the Fortnite World Cup – the event with the biggest prize pool in the history of esports – North American organisation Team Liquid has recruited new players to its roster in an effort to claim more of the winnings at the event.

Team Liquid announces Alex “Fiber” Bonetello, River “Riversan” Handley, and Cented as the latest members to its impressive roster. Not as big as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins or Jack “CouRage” Dunlop in terms of popularity, these three players have quickly made names for themselves within the competitive community.

Kory Arruda, Team Manager of Team Liquid’s Fortnite efforts commented on the recruits:

“I’ve been watching the cups very closely and these players stood out tremendously. I knew after my first conversation with them that I wanted them to be a part of the Team Liquid family. They’re great young men and most importantly they represent everything we strive for- be the best player you can be in game and be the best person you can be out of game. I’m excited to see these players grow and do everything we can to support them.”

Team Liquid’s Fortnite roster now stands seven-man deep, with Fiber, Riversan, and Cented joining veterans Thomas “72hrs” Mulligan, Jake “Poach” Brumleve, and Ryan “Chap” Chaplo – as well as the incredibly-skilled Noah “Vivid” Wright.

The organisation has competed in a plethora of official and unofficial Fortnite series, and while it has witnessed a few victories, its players have mostly left something to be desired. With these additions, Co-CEO Steve Arhancet will be hoping to leave more of a mark in the coming weeks and months leading to the Fortnite World Cup Finals on July 26-27th.
