Florida Mutineers Minnesota Champions

The Florida Mutineers Win CDL Minnesota

New signing Owakening has turned the tides of the Florida Mutineers season. They join the Atlanta FaZe, Dallas Empire and Chicago Huntsmen winning two chips this season. Here’s how they did it

Florida Mutineers 3-2 Chicago Huntsmen

Florida kicked off their Minnesota Home Series run by taking down the Chicago Huntsmen 3-2 in game one. A hard fought Gun Runner Hardpoint saw them go down 250-239, before they responded with a dominant 6-3 SnD to tie the series 1-1. After winning the Domination 154-146, Chicago responded with a 250-209 Hardpoint to take the series to a game five. Here it was the Mutineers which prevailed, winning 6-4. This series was where Havok and Owakening proved their dominance. A 1.00 and 1.05 overall K/D respectively was the highest on the Florida team. Both players continued to dominate this weekend, Havok played an influential part in Florida’s last weekend win, as he does in this one too.

Florida Mutineers 3-1 Los Angeles Guerrillas

Florida kept up their winning run as they beat the Los Angeles Guerrillas 250-222. Owakening dominated as he went 33-25, that’s a 1.32 K/D in map 1. A round 11 game 2 saw the Guerrillas come out on top before Florida dominated the rest of the games winning the series 3-1. A blowout map 4 saw them win 250-108, Owakening impressed once more with a 32-19 K/D, the highest on his team at 1.68 in map 4. The only player to achieve 100 kills in the series, Owakening has quickly proved that he can dominate in the Call of Duty League.

Florida Mutineers 3-2 Dallas Empire (Semi-Final)

The Semi-Finals saw yet another game five series for the Mutineers. Yet again, it was Havok and Owakening who out slayed the Empire to win map 1 250-169. After being crushed in both SnD and Domination lost 6-1 and 161-129, the Mutineers found themselves 2-1 down in the series. They replied with a 250-197 Hardpoint to tie the series. An intense map 5 saw Florida come out in round 11 to win 6-5. As usual, Havok achieved a 1.41 overall K/D however it was Skyz who topped the charts. A 1.55 overall K/D was the highest in the series as his AR dominance pushed them to a place in the Final.

Florida Mutineers 3-1 Atlanta Faze (Final)

FaZe showed their Gun Runner weakness once again as Florida took map 1 250-146. Fero dropped 33 kills and topped the leaderboard with a 1.38 K/D in map 1. Following this, they were absolutely dominated by FaZe as they lost 6-1 in game 2 to tie the series at 1-1. Florida responded with an extremely strong map 3 winning 177-132 on St. Petrograd Domination. The final map was Hackney Yard as Florida were ahead for most of the game before FaZe nearly made the comeback. However, while FaZe were looking for p2 spawns, Florida put everything into p1 and managed to win the series there. 250-231 was the score.

Skyz topped the overall Domination K/D leaderboard with 1.81. He held down the map controlling key lanes and was fundamental in their Final Series win. The Florida Mutineers return to action on Friday as they take on Paris Legion in game one.
