New York Subliners Win CDL New York

The Subliners Defend Home Turf At CDL New York

The New York Subliners become the second team to win their own Home Series this season following Atlanta’s triumph at home back in week 3 of the CDL 2020 Season. New York now move up to 5th in the Call of Duty League Standings with 130 points. Here’s how they did it.

New York Subliners 3-1 Minnesota Rokkr

New York secured a 2-0 lead in the series, starting off with a dominant 250-144 Gun Runner Hardpoint. Here ZooMaa dropped a massive 36 kills. After this, it was Attach who took over in Search and Destroy to win 6-3 with a 1.67 K/D. While they were defeated in Domination, they came back in map 4 and absolutely destroyed Minnesota 250-157 on Rammaza. The New York Subliners had no player finish below a 1.11 overall K/D in this series. This proves their dominance while out slaying the opposition, something which resulted in their massive Hardpoint leads as they were rarely broken if they won the rotation.

New York Subliners 2-3 Chicago Huntsmen

New York went down 2-0 in this series after a strong start from the Huntsmen winning a close 250-219 Hardpoint, before excelling in SnD winning 6-1. While New York won the Domination to start their series comeback. This was extremely close and could’ve been a 3-0 for Chicago. New York took their momentum into map 4 winning 250-192 to take the series to a game five. Here they were taken down 6-3 and lost the series 3-2, however it was a valiant effort from the Subliners. Yet again it was Mack who topped the charts with the highest overall K/D of the series. However it wasn’t enough to see the Subliners through to Championship Sunday just yet.

New York Subliners 3-1 London Royal Ravens

London took the lead with a 250-215 Gun Runner Hardpoint, but the Subliners bounced back with three consecutive maps to win the series 3-1. A round 11 victory in map 2 saw them tie the series 1-1 before Hackney Yard dominance in maps 3 and 4. ZooMaa and Mack were the standout players here, with over a 1.30 K/D in maps 3 and 4 being the main factors leading to the series win. Mack continued his dominance with the highest overall K/D in the series with a 1.25 as New York secured their Semi-Finals spot.

New York Subliners 3-0 Toronto Ultra (Semi-Final)

In the fastest CDL Sunday we’ve ever seen, New York took down the Toronto Ultra 3-0. Attach had the map of the weekend going 38-22 for a 1.73 K/D as they stole map 1 250-247. Taking this momentum, New York went on to win map 2 6-2 and map 3 158-147 to take the series in 3-0 fashion. Surprisingly, it wasn’t Mack who had the highest overall K/D this series. It was the map 1 hero Attach who took it with a 1.59 overall K/D. New York looked extremely dominant this series. And proved that the AR heavy Toronto Ultra wouldn’t affect the subs of New York too much. With Attach proving that extremely clearly.

New York Subliners 3-0 Chicago Huntsmen (Final)

In the Final, New York matched up with Chicago once more, here they took their revenge winning the series 3-0. Extremely similar vetos to the first series saw the same first 4 maps with double Rammaza followed by Double Hackney Yard. In map 1 it was Mack and Attach who took the series into their own hands with 1.44 and 1.43 K/s respectively. Here they won 250-238, before winning map 2 6-4 to take a 2-0 series lead. This reversed the situation of the last series. Requiring Chicago to reverse sweep to find their third chip of the season. A 163-144 Domination saw New York secure their first chip of the season, winning their own Home Series. Accuracy had a massive series putting up a 1.31 overall K/D, the highest in the series by far. Just like their victory against the Rokkr, no Subliners player had an overall K/D below 1.00

The Subliners have proved to be an extremely dominant team when they outslay, two matches this Home Series saw no player on the team achieve less than a 1.00 K/D. In these matches, they won 3-1 and 3-0, showing that their dominance in slaying could be the main factor to their Home Series success. The Subliners return to action this weekend at the London Royal Ravens Home Series, taking on the Los Angeles Guerrillas in their first game.
