Twista And Allu Form A New CS:GO Team

Aleksi "allu" Jalli and Slaava "Twista" Räsänen have formed a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team on Wednesday, February 9.

Aleksi “allu” Jalli and Slaava “Twista” Räsänen have formed a new Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team on Wednesday, February 9. The former ENCE duo have joined a mix of young players from the home region to form a team that is currently looking for an organization to pick them up.

A New Journey For The Ex-ENCE Duo

Allu and coach Twista, formerly of ENCE, have teamed up to form a new Finnish CS:GO team. The duo will join forces with a mix of young and experienced players from the region to compete in the European circuit.

As revealed, the duo will team up with, Olli “oopee” Piispanen, Lasse “ZOREE” Uronen, and the former SJ duo of Tony “arvid” Niemelä and Tuomas “SADDYX” Louhimaa. Their joint venture will mark allu’s and Twista’s return to the pro play after the dup got cut from ENCE.

Allu was a long-standing member of ENCE, having joined the team back in March 2018. The Finn has remained with the organization ever since but got benched from the active roster in May 2021.

Twista joined ENCE shortly after allu, in August 2018, as a head coach. The 34-year-old served as the team’s coach for over two years until he got suspended in September 2020 and eventually returned as an analyst.

In an interview where Twista unveiled the new Finnish CS:GO project, the 34-year-old talked about the composition of the new lineup and touched on his return to the coaching role and his intentions to continue coaching following a 15-month ESIC ban.

Twista unveiled that while he will serve as a coach of the new project, he will also receive help from former hREDS player Mikko “xartE” Välimaa. The latter will take over as an assistant coach.

Like the new project will give Twista a chance to return to coaching, it will allow allu to return to pro play after nearly one year. Allu was most recently seen competing with Complexity as a stand-in for Valentin “poizon” Vasilev but failed to achieve much.

A New Project

Although everything is ready for the new Finnish CS:GO team to start competing, the roster has yet to secure backing. However, as revealed by Twista, the squad is in discussion with multiple organizations.

“We want to think carefully about who we are going to take the project forward with so that the goals are sure to fit together,” said Twista.

“In practice, we are open to offers until we come out with the organization.”

Besides fielding an experienced CS:GO veterans in allu and ZOREE, the new Finnish project will also feature former SJ duo in SADDYX and arvid. The latter will supposedly take over as the in-game leader, a role he held in SJ Gaming for over four years.

Arvid joined SJ Gaming in October 2017 and has remained with the Finnish esports organization until December 2021, when SJ Gaming disbanded. SADDYX, meanwhile, re-joined SJ Gaming in April 2021, having spent two years with the team in 2019-2021.

Rounding up the roster is former hREDS player, oopee. The 23-year-old has been involved in CS:GO pro scene since May 2018 when he joined Planetkey Dynamics but is mostly known for his time ad hREDS, which he was a part of since August 2020.

During his time at hREDS, oopee has averaged a 1.00 HLTV rating, but hasn’t achieved much outside of domestic tournaments. Most notably, oopee placed second at Finnish Esports League Season 9 in October and KeyDrop Cup #1 in November.

Until the Finnish lineup finds an esports organization that is prepared to sign them, the team will compete under the name temp. However, according to Twist, it’s only a matter of time before his squad get picked up.
