Esports organisation FaZe Clan has announced that rapper, singer and songwriter Kiari Kendrell “Offset” Cephus has joined as an investor.
Currently, there is no information on how much Offset invested into the organisation or full details on how he would be involved. However, the press release from FaZe Clan did highlight that both parties would work on a “mutually beneficial partnership.”
Kiari Kendrell “Offset” Cephus, commented on the announcement: “I love gaming and esports is the future. These two facts make it only right that I be a part of the biggest esports organization with some of the best players in the world.”

Rumours of Offset’s involvement with FaZe Clan first started back in July when Clinton Sparks, Director of Business Development, tagged the rapper in an Instagram story. Following, during an AMA on twitter, Offset responded to a fan question about investing in an esports team with “Might have already done that”, further adding to the rumours.

Offset joins an evergrowing list of musicians who have recently made investments into the esports space. In July, Pittsburgh Knights announced a strategic partnership with Wiz Khalifa to bring his “expertise in creative direction” to the organisation. Additionally, Drake made investments in both 100 Thieves and Players’ Lounge, and earlier this year The Weeknd joined Overactive Media, the parent company of Toronto Defiant and Splyce.
