Esports betting company Unikrn has issued a statement about a strategic partnership with FYX Gaming, an Esports infrastructure and technology provider that majors in blockchain solutions.
The new collaboration will see both blockchain-based companies collaborate on new gaming products and technology, including revenue generation solutions for game developers.
FYX’s fighting game, CrytoFights, will be added on Unikrn Virtual, a platform that makes use of historical Esports match information to inform a continuous stream of content alongside live betting information and markets.
According to the statement released, Unikrn Virtual will make use of the in-game information created during real-life CryptoFights events to select new streams and markets on its platform. All of these events will be documented in real-time to the Bitcoin SV blockchain through FYX’s platform.
FYX Gaming’s CEO, Adam Kling, added that on the partnership:
“Today’s consensus between FYX and Unikrn is a big first step towards shifting the business and revenue generation models that underpin the gaming industry. The collaboration with immediate effect creates an all-new revenue stream for game developers, with the foundation laid for other games on FYX to follow the CryptoFights template and integrate with Unikrn – another wonderful feature allowed through our innovative blockchain-based esports platform.”
According to the statement released, CrytpoFights is the first of many partnerships planned between the FYX and Unikrn.
Game developers that incorporate with Unikrn through the FYX platform will have some percentage of all total income generated from their games. It is also ‘game engine-agnostic’, meaning that developers can incorporate any game of their choice using an SDK and API. According to the company, there are no initial implementation costs.
FYX is planned for public release sometime in 2021. The company makes use of Bitcoin SV (BSV) blockchain to provide Esports experiences with native cash matches and competitions. FYX is said to pride itself on verifiable game honesty, as well as providing new revenue generating avenues for AAA and indie game developers.
