Call of Duty League Majors IV Qualifers is on the Horizon

The CDL Major IV Qualifiers start later this week. Who will take home the title of Major IV Champions?

With Optic Texas’ Major III in the rearview mirror, the Call of Duty League teams turn their attention to Major IV as Qualifiers start later this week. Qualifiers will go on from Friday, March 31 to Saturday, April 16. This will all lead up to the tournament weekend, which will run from  April 20-23rd.

Major III Results

Major III saw the Toronto Ultra make a clean run through the winner’s bracket on their way to lifting up the Major III trophy at the end of the weekend. The hosts, Optic Texas, were able to secure 2nd place after making the finals by clawing their way from the loser bracket. Atlanta FaZe secured 3rd place after the Boston Breach took 4th.

Teams to Watch For

My first team watch is the defending Major Champions, the Toronto Ultra. Not only did they win Major III, but they’ve also had good showings at the other majors, coming in 4th at Major I and 5th at Major II. If they can carry the momentum of winning into Qualifiers, all teams better be on the watch.

The next team that I expect to do well is the Atlanta FaZe. The Major II champions have pulled off 3rd place finishes in both Major I and III. FaZe has always been a great organization in the Call of Duty scene, and another top finish can be expected from them at Major IV.

Finally, after placing 4th at Major II and 2nd at Major III, it seems like OpTic Texas has an excellent upward trajectory. After coming close all year, could Major IV be the tournament where OpTic Texas is able to secure their first Major win of 2023?

Schedule and Betting Odds

My first match of the week is the Los Angeles Thieves taking on the Seattle Surge on Saturday. I see this match as an incredibly even and valuable win for the victor, as both teams could use the momentum after looking subpar at Major III. Oddsmakers seem to agree, as it’s a pick them at the betting windows. I expect to see every map in this one.

Regardless of what matches you tune in for, you can expect some exciting high-level Call of Duty games. You can catch all of the action on Twitch, so lock in your bets, grab some snacks, and enjoy the show.
