Mousesports and Na’Vi top ICE Challenge group stages

With the group stages of GG.bet’s, ICE Challenge drawing to a close, there has been no shortage of great games. Now that the dust has settled, Mousesports and Na’Vi have placed comfortably at the top of Group A & B respectively.

Following this strong start, Mousesports (HLTV rank 2) and Na’Vi (HLTV rank 9) have gained a pass for the Quarter Finals round, removing the possibility of an early stage elimination. Both teams went 2-0 over their groups and are ranked as favourites to reach the finals. As the tournament progresses we’ll be bringing you the best odds for outright winners and finals match ups.

As we enter the Quarter Finals, we’ve outlined the matches with previews and odds provided by GG.bet.

Virtus.Pro (1.70) x GODSENT (2.10)

GODSENT were knocked into the elimination match by Na’Vi but redeemed themselves against ENCE to secure their spot. Unfortunately, this meant that their opponent become Group A runners-up Virtus.Pro. Recent games have been losses for Virtus.Pro, but take into account that they’ve mostly been against high ranking teams. They’ll be coming into this match with something to prove and won’t want to miss their chance. It will probably get scrappy, but Virtus.Pro have a strong chance to come out on top.

Virtus.Pro have been performing badly on Dust2 and Train, so we’ll expect to see one of those banned, with GODSENT likely to ban Mirage and prioritise Vertigo after their recent 4 win streak on the map.

Our bet: Virtus.Pro (1.70)

OG (2.23) x MAD Lions (1.62)

OG had the inverse experience to GODSENT, but having beaten their first opponent placed second in the group. Over the past 3 months OG have had quite bad form, struggling to take a win. The Danish MAD Lions have been on slightly better form, only dropping games to top tier rosters. With this MAD Lions are the bookmaker favourites at 1.55. We expect to see bans coming in for Vertigo and Inferno, with Train and Mirage coming in as the key maps for the teams. With past track record if OG lose a first map, their heads can go down; so with that said, our bet is for MAD Lions to take the win with a clean sweep.

Our bet: MAD Lions 2-0 (2.93)

If you’re looking for a spicy risk, then we have Virtus.Pro to take the first map of their match against GODSENT with a score of 16:9 at odds of 10.65. Happy betting guys and gals!

These games will both be streamed live from the ICE Challenge event at the ExCeL Arena in London. We’ll be attending the event next week and, thanks to GG.bet, will have some very existing giveaways so be sure to check back during the event!
