The prestigious PUBG Europe League (PEL) is due to take place on the 21st March, a mere week from Thursday. With a total of fifteen European teams involved as well as two others, one from Africa and the one from the Middle-East, the PUBG Corporation and StarLadder are ready and well-prepared for this event to kick off in Berlin.
Esports Operations Manager at the PUBG Amsterdam, Atila Yeşildağ, spoke about the up and coming event in an interview and said: “We are very excited with the start of the inaugural PEL season as it represents the pinnacle of PUBG esports in Europe and it is the natural continuation of our overall esports strategy” Mr Yesildag then proceeded to talk about the benefits and prospects for the players involved: “Going forward, we believe PEL will provide players a foundation on which to build their skills and strategies and fans a place to regularly engage with the best PUBG teams in Europe.”
The PEL is essentially still a unique event with only six regional leagues of its kind in the official esports season, three of which are regional pro circuits. The FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic is where these teams will battle head to head in London between the 16th and 21st of April. The potential for the PUBG scene to progress is already underway, with global contenders already coming together, the future for this esports title is nothing short of promising. The 21st of March will be a great insight as to what next steps will be lined up for the teams and what fans can expect from PUBG in the near future.
