Warzone Wednesday Cancelled

Warzone Wednesday CANCELLED for the Second Week in a Row

Warzone Wednesday Cancelled! For the second week in a row, we ask will we ever see week 9 of Warzone Wednesday?

As the ongoing internet feud featuring Warzone Wednesday host Keemstar rages on. The tournament will not go ahead for the second week in a row. Last week we were never officially told why he cancelled Warzone Wednesday. Instead, the only official wording was from players and an article from Dexerto which Keemstar retweeted.

Original Cancellation

This claimed “server issues” as the cause of the cancellation. And although there had been prominent server issues throughout the day. It was coincidentally the same day that Keemstar was first involved in a YouTuber feud. Following this the feud has gone back and forth while Keemstar has lost one of his sponsors “GFuel” in the process. Leading many to believe that the money may not be there to host Warzone Wednesday.

This Weeks Cancellation

There has been no wording from Keemstar or Keempark on the situation regarding Warzone Wednesday. However 3 time back-to-back-to-back Warzone Wednesday winner Itz_WarsZ supposedly revealed on stream last night that the tournament would not go ahead. Finally, Vikkstar123 officially announced on twitter “Warzone Wednesday is cancelled this week”

This is a difficult situation for all parties involved. However it is surprising that another host has not come in to take advantage considering the amount of views these Warzone tournaments bring. According to Esports Charts the NICKMERCS’ MFAM Gauntlet peaked at 254,058 viewers. With an average of 212,053 across all platforms.

Warzone Wednesday week 8 had a peak of 207,035 viewers. With an average of 201,481 across all platforms. This is an insane amount of viewers and would bring a massive number of eyes to any brand that runs a Warzone tournament.

UPDATE: Keemstar has addressed the situation and announced that Warzone Wednesday will return next week.
