Call of Duty League Minnesota Postponed

Recent events in Minneapolis sparking protests around the world leave Call of Duty League Minnesota Postponed until next week

The community first caught word of the postponement on June 3rd after journalist Rod ‘Slasher’ Breslau and CDL INTEL tweeted about the situation. Both sources informed us that it was likely that ‘Call of Duty League Minnesota Postponed’. Would be the news headline we would shortly hear.

Following this it was the Call of Duty League who announced the postponement.

A statement from the Rokkr said

We will share more details soon, including how the Call of Duty League family plans to pay tribute to George Floyd and dedicate this Home Series to supporting the fight for social justice and the rights of black and minority communities, as well as organizations assisting with rebuilding efforts both in Minneapolis and nationwide. We have been working closely with CDL since last week on how we can use the event to raise money for charitable organizations supporting racial justice and community rebuilding efforts. Scheduling was part of those discussions but the decision was made in the past 24 hours.”

CDL Minnesota will now be played on the weekend of June 12th to 14th with the top five teams in the league all attending. Atlanta FaZe, Dallas Empire, Chicago Huntsmen, Minnesota Rokkr and Florida Mutineers.

Activision also postponed the release of Season 4 for Modern Warfare and season 7 in COD Mobile. However it is rumoured that these will release next week around the 9th or 10th.  As well as popular tournament Warzone Wednesday, which will return next week.
