Call of Duty on PlayStation 5

Gamers will have the chance to play the PS4 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on PS5. According to a report by Screenrant, launching a new game on the PS5 platform will not be smooth, with many players encountering problems such as crashing so far. According to another report by Eurogamer, when gamers purchase the Cross-Gen bundle or an ultimate edition of games such as Treyarch, they will get both versions of PS4 and PS5.

The report goes on to explain how the option of ‘Download All’ can lead to gamers playing the wrong version of this game by mistake. This is because the PS5 can default to the PS4 version of the game a player presses the play button.

To avoid all these issues, players can choose the three-dot icon and manually select the game’s PS5 version. The Eurogamer report further describes how players can confirm the changes when the user interface refreshes shortly after which the game will be default once the play is pressed.
