Mr Green, the popular betting provider, has yesterday announced their partnership with Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) to create an esports focussed platform, GLHF.GG.
This new esports platform aims to be “a new community for esports fans with focus on entertainment, news and gaming possibilities.”, with GiG suppling both esports and igaming servers to the mix. The Gaming Innovation Group currently process over 6.1 million game transactions per day across their network so we’ve no doubt that we’re expecting something of substantial scale and investment.
Per Norman, CEO of Mr Green, said: “There is a massive engagement around esports today with 200 million frequent viewers globally every day.
“Our ambition is to build the world’s most engaging esports community together with Gamingzone Entertainment. Together we will offer a new community called GLHF.GG for esports fans with focus on entertainment, streams and betting on esports to embody the true meaning of GLHF.GG.”
It’s a bold claim, but Mr Green have a solid history of investing strongly in areas they believe in, so we’re exciting to see not only the release of GLHF.GG but also a reflection of their investment coming through on their existing betting website.
This announcement follows the recent acquisition of Mr Green by competitor William Hill for £242 million.
The platform is expected to go live in Q1 of 2019, and we’re excited to see what’s hiding behind their landing page teaser.
