Releases

Postal, a controversial shooting game, is coming to Nintendo. The main objective of this game is killing people, but with Nintendo Switch, it will come as a remake called Postal Redux. This is big news as the company generally steers clear of games that are considered too violent or frightening, usually playing to a more wholesome audience. Slated for release on October 16, this remake will come in a single-player mode, and will have players get multipliers for back-to-back kills.

Tournaments

PUBG has recently announced it will commence a new professional league for EMEA regions, starting on October 9th. It was originally set to start on the 16th, but was brought forward by a week to better accommodate the global tournament timeline.

The top three teams will get slots to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship and will benefit from the chance to win some of the $100,000 prize money available. This league for Europe, Middle East, and African players will replace the PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO) regional finals. This is following the recent ban in India and seems like a good solution, considering the fact the majority of the teams that would have participated in the PMCO’s Asian section would have come from India.

Fortnite Championship Series, Chapter 2 Season 4 kicks off on the 9th of October as well. The very first stage of qualifiers will, however, start in the Middle East on October 8th. This is one day earlier than FNCS open stages in the past. The qualifiers will go on till October 25th. The season finals will start on the 28th of October and end on the 1st of November.

The Edion Valorant Cup is a tournament hosted by Edion in Tokyo, Japan. It is an offline tournament that has a total prize pool of $9,413. This tournament adopts a knockout system and will start on the first day of October, ending on the 4th.
