Call of Duty League Paris – Finals Preview
As we head into the Call of Duty League Paris Finals, let’s look into some analysis of the matchups and my predicted outcomes.
Florida Mutineers vs New York Subliners
Florida Mutineers exited their group 2-0 after taking down the Dallas Empire last night in 3-1 fashion. This series could’ve been a 3-0 though, but Dallas clutched up in the final moments of Hackney Yard Domination to win map 3 160-158. It was the same story for Florida, with Skyz (1.47 K/D), Fero (1.29 K/D) and Owakening (1.38 K/D) all dominating with astonishing K/D ratios.
New York Subliners however were taken down by Atlanta FaZe in game five once again. MackMelts topped the charts for the Subliners in Hardpoint with a 1.04 K/D. They pushed FaZe to the wire, forcing a game five after winning maps 3 and 4 to tie the series. However, FaZe were too calm and came back to win Arklov Peak SnD. Following this, New York had to take on Toronto Ultra. After losing map 1 250-200, New York responded and won 3 maps in a row winning the series 3-1. This was a strong performance from the Subliners with big plays from Accuracy, who has dominated all weekend.
The Florida Mutineers look unstoppable. These two trade 1 for 1 in previous matchups, however this is a much stronger Florida team now to the last time they met. Owakening, Fero and Skyz have all been incredible for the Mutineers and if they continue to dominate, this could be a quick series. However, New York are not a team to underestimate. While I think Florida will take the series, this could very well be a 3-2. Therefore I’m just taking a Florida Mutineers ML for this match.
Pick: Florida Mutineers ML, 1.53 @ Bet365
Atlanta FaZe vs Dallas Empire
Atlanta FaZe are proving to be a tough team to beat. While they have gone to many game fives, they come out with a win almost every time. However, this isn’t all good for FaZe. This could show other teams that they are in fact beatable, and encourage them to push harder against them. aBeZy has been excellent for FaZe this weekend, along with Cellium of course. When aBeZy is putting up a 1.10 overall K/D, you know the opposition is in trouble.
Dallas Empire however have also become a tough team to beat. While they were taken down by the Mutineers, they put up a very strong performance against the London Royal Ravens. Regardless of any controversy. Huke, a player which has gone under the radar of many has performed extremely well this weekend. A 1.11 overall K/D so far this event tops the charts for his team beating both Shotzzy and Clayster.
Like the last series, this is one that could go the distance. Atlanta FaZe currently have a 10-5 map count against Dallas Empire and will be looking to become the first team to win three chips this year. However, so will Dallas. This is shaping up to be an extremely contested match with either team being able to win. However, I’m backing Atlanta FaZe. My Pick is a FaZe ML as this game could easily go to a game five. If it does, FaZe have a much better record in clutch situations and I’m backing them to win it.
Pick: Atlanta FaZe ML, 1.57 @ Bet365
