Call of Duty League Championships – Day 5 Preview

The CDL Playoffs conclude tonight before we head into the Championship Weekend next week, so let’s analyse the last 2 matches.

London Royal Ravens vs New York Subliners

After their easy 3-1 victory against the Paris Legion, the London Royal Ravens should be feeling better than ever. Especially with playing the New York Subliners as they are a team they know they can beat. However, this won’t be an easy game at all.

The New York Subliners were unable to close out a close game five match against the Chicago Huntsmen. This may be a problem for them leading into this game coming off the back of a heartbreaking loss.

Prediction

London lead 3-1 with a 10-5 lead in map count in the head to head, so London definitely has the edge against the Subliners. Therefore, I’m taking a London Royal Ravens ML bet.

OpTic Gaming Los Angeles vs Florida Mutineers

OpTic Gaming Los Angeles looked extremely strong as they closed out a quick 3-0 victory against the Minnesota Rokkr. Kenny dropped over 40 kills in map one before going 12-1 in map two breaking the record for the highest SnD K/D as he was playing to the best of his ability. I believe that OGLA can make a strong Losers Bracket run as they have two players in Kenny and Slasher who did it last year for 100 Thieves.

The Florida Mutineers suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Toronto Ultra and this could be an issue for the morale of the team. However, while Owakening, Skyz and Fero always perform, Havok and Frosty need to step up too. When they play well, Florida wins big. iF Havok and Frosty and slacking, then the whole team is hindered. 

Prediction

While OpTic Gaming Los Angeles have never beaten the Florida Mutineers. I think that this is the time for OGLA to step up and take the victory. They looked focused and in great form yesterday so if they keep that up, this has to be a series win. I’m taking an OpTic Gaming Los Angeles ML bet.
