Call of Duty League Seattle – Finals Preview
London Royal Ravens find themselves in their second semi final of the season at Call of Duty League Seattle, can they go all the way? Let’s take a look
London Royal Ravens vs OpTic Gaming LA
While most esportsbooks slightly favour OpTic Gaming in this match, I believe it will be the London Royal Ravens who come out on top. Their outstanding performance against the New York Subliners yesterday saw them top the group going 2-0. This series was extremely dominant with a 250-180 Hardpoint, 6-3 SnD and 156-138 Domination, all on the map Gun Runner.
If OGLA win the coin toss, I’m sure they’ll be looking to ban this map straight away. London’s new addition and former Subliner Zer0 topped the charts with a 1.37 overall K/D, while Dylan achieved a 1.12. These SMG players going positive is a dangerous combination for London. If Dylan and Zer0 continue to fry, the team will dominate. And could win their first weekend of the season at Call of Duty league Seattle.
As for OGLA, they had a sloppy map 1 against the Paris Legion but bought it back to win the series 3-1 (one of our predictions), following this a dominant 3-0 victory against the Minnesota Rokkr sees them in their third Semi-Final of the season. Slasher finished the series with a 1.60 overall K/D, London will need to shut him down if they are to win the series.
After a shaky start against the Los Angeles Guerrillas, London look incredible. The new addition of Zer0 is working wonders and Dylan starting to return to his Black Ops 4 season form is a scary sight for other teams. If London can shut down Slasher and play like they did against New York, they can make their first Final of the year. I’m taking a London Match Winner for this series. A -1.5 is possible, however previous series have been 3-2 London and 3-0 OGLA. So a Match Winner reduces some risk since there is minimal data between the two.
Chicago Huntsmen vs New York Subliners
Chicago Huntsmen proved that their switch was worth it after taking down Minnesota 3-0 to reach the Semi-Finals. Prestinni finished with a 1.14 overall K/D showing extremely positive signs for the Huntsmen. While they had to clutch another round 11 in SnD which they have now won 5/6 round 11’s. They have the ice needed to perform in clutch situations. With Scump winning multiple 1 vs X situations already this weekend.
When it comes to New York, they were dominated and outplayed by the Ravens. But they managed to bounce back against the Los Angeles Guerrillas winning 3-1. Although this series was fairly close at points, meaning the Guerrillas are definitely showing improvement. It was ZooMaa and Attach who performed in this series, achieving a 1.20 and 1.26 overall K/D respectively.
Previous matchups have seen New York come out on top 3-2 and Chicago win 3-1, this means that the series is extremely close and both teams match up well. However, this new Chicago team hasn’t played against them yet, because of this a Chicago Huntsmen Match Winner will be the choice for me. Yet again, a -1.5 could be good too if you wish for higher odds. However, this series could go either way, but I expect Chicago to be victorious.
